Oakhurst Country Club is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Grove City, Ohio.
Oakhurst Golf Course first opened for play in 1959. The course was designed by Jack Kidwell.
Water comes into play on seven holes. A number of fairways are narrow. The greens, for the most part, are small and severely sloped. Additionally, the greens are protected by sand bunkers.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,675 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,438 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 3, a par-5 that plays to 541 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 16, a par-3 that plays to 161 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 4, a 430-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Oakhurst is # 16, the 161 yard par-3.
Oakhurst Country Club closed on November 4, 2018.
Reportedly, as of the closing date, the property had already been sold. Future plans for the course are unknown.
“Effective Monday, November 4, 2018, due to economic conditions, Oakhurst Country Club cannot continue to operate,” the club said in a message to members. “Your loyalty as a member has been much appreciated. This has been a difficult year and the decision has been incredibly tough. ... Additional information will be forwarded as it becomes available.”
The golf shop will be open from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Nov. 10th for members to pick up personal items.
